I am not able to get pictures to properly display in a consistent size on my home page. When added, they display in various sizes or cropped. Any ideas?

    Hi Gabe,

You are using pictures that are too large for the area you are inserting them. Rocketship (and most similar systems) require you to optimize the image sizes for the application.

For example. Your photo "northlynn_pics.jpg" is 2032 × 1524 pixels in size. The area you are using to display these pictures is only 410 pixels wide so anything wider will disappear off the page. (or that region of content)

You need to optimize your photos for that particular area. You can do this by resizing the image at any number of free online image editing sites. I especially like http://www.picnik.com and was able to resize the attached image to 410 pixels wide while maintaining the aspect ratio in under 2 minutes.

Hope this helps - let me know if you need more information.

P.S. Every content region in Rocketship will tell you how wide the area is in pixels. e.g. The area in question on your site says, "Main region (410 pixels wide)" at this top. This is a guide on how to format image and embedded content like widgets and maps.
